Growing garlic(Allium sativum) @ausgarlic organically n self-sustaining fruits n veges is the main activity at Garlic Farmacy. We are located up river in the Macleay Valley Food Bowl of NSW Australia.

What's it all about?

Up river in the Macleay Valley Food Bowl area we are away from city pollution, where the air and cloud water remains uncontaminated.

In 2014 we grew a number of garlic varieties including these successful ones:
* Chaz;
* Mungay Purple (Purple Glam);
* Printanor;
* Italian White;
* Sprint;
* a Tasmanian Purple variety;
* Shogun;
* Rojo del Pais Baza); and
* Elephant – not really a garlic variety, also often called “Russian”.

In the 2015/16 season we continued with the above and added a couple more including:
* Italian Pink;
* Rosies; and
* an unknown variety.

All are continuing to be tested and are adjusting to the seasonal conditions here.

Our garlic and products have been awarded prizes when entered in the local shows in the region.

We do not use chemicals, pesticides or herbicides, just biodynamic and organic nutrients. Many of these are made on the farm. The garlic like all our other produce is grown with Love, hand tendered and cured naturally.

We are also financial members of the Australian Garlic Industry Association (AGIA).
